Help us Change Parole Hearings To Every 5 Years Instead of Every 2 Years, Please!!

 

Convicted murderers can have a parole hearing every two years after they reach their parole eligibility date; families of homicide do not get parole from their suffering; repeated parole hearings can have tremendous negative affects of families of homicide victims; the Government of Canada promised to address the imbalance between the rights of victims and the rights of offenders.  Our new Government has made so many promises to protect the victims.  To date, we are not seeing the protection, the promises lay unfulfilled and we keep hearing about the convicted killers rights.

We call upon the federal Minister of Public Safety and Minister of Justice to amend the Criminal Code of Canada and Corrections and Conditional Release Act to stipulate that convicted murders should only have parole hearings every five years after reaching their parole eligibility dates.
